Pioneer WindmillPioneer windmill on Main Street was erected July 1984 to recognize the sacrifice and devotion of the settlers of our area.
Not sure who instigated the plan to move a windmill to Main Street Gray, but a willing crew was found. The windmill was deconstructed at a Milestone farm and reconstructed in Gray. A lot of moving parts but worth it. The commemorative plaque reads; Dedicated to our Pioneers – By establishing good homes and a progressive community they laid the foundation for our present way of life. |
