Clarence "Shoop" Lafoy 1916 - 1983

Inducted 1998 Hunter Fisher

Shoop is best remembered around Gray for his keen interest in fishing, hunting and trapping.  He was an excellent outdoorsman who was quick to share his enthusiasm and expertise with anyone interested. Everyone was welcome on fishing and hunting expeditions no matter their experience or ability. Companions included Errett Collins, John Ford, Carl Gillis, Ivor Hull, Jerry Lafoy and John Lafoy. Shoop was an excellent bird hunter and collected antlers and jaws of big game as trophies.

He was also involved with hockey and baseball as a young man and was an avid curler who traveled to bonspiels with his cousins and Ernie Dunning.
Hamlet of Gray has present day info.
